About Cameron Horst:
Cameron is known for his focus, discipline, and power, both as a climber and an award-winning multi-sport high school athlete. As a youngster, Cameron quickly ascended the grade scale with his first 5.13 at age 9 and three 5.14a sends at age 11. He has since climbed more than thirty 8b+/14a and harder routes, including his hardest yet “Moonshine” (5.14d/9a) in Wild Iris, Wyoming. For his accomplishments as a youth climber, Cameron was awarded Climbing magazine’s Golden Piton award and, along with his brother Jonathan, the “New Kids on the Block” OLGA award by Europe’s CLIMAX magazine.
About Optimize Your Weekend for Sending: A Tactical Approach to Your Time at the Crag:
This clinic focuses on helping weekend warriors maximize their potential for sending whilst having limited time at the crag. This topic is important because many climbers juggle work, life, and other obligations during the week and they often only get one or two days to pursue their climbing goals so its advantageous to learn how to be efficient with the time we have!
We'll cover topics such as:
1. Tailoring warm up to each project
2. Choosing the "right" project
3. Taking a tactical approach to projecting
In addition, we’ll have a group discussion around how to structure your weekdays—training, rest, and preparation—to set yourself up for weekend success.
Thank you to PhysiVantage for sponsoring this clinic!
